Artistic Director | Matthew Robinson
Matthew began his dance training in the Appalachian foothills of Southwest Virginia around 10 years ago. He has a diverse background of movement experience including modern, ballet, jazz, hip hop, tap, and 10 years of Si Lum Kung-Fu. Matthew started his professional career with The West Virginia Dance Company and Roanoke Ballet Theatre while studying to receive his BFA from Radford University (Radford, VA). After graduating, he moved to Cleveland, OH to tour with The Dancing Wheels Company around multiple regions of the U.S., including performances at the Alvin Ailey Citigroup Theater in New York and Cleveland’s own Playhouse Square. Matthew also choreographed for and worked with The Cleveland Dance Project Company, held principal roles at North Pointe Ballet such as The Cavalier (Nutcracker) and The Scarecrow (Wizard of Oz), and vibed with his modern dance roots alongside MorrisonDance. Matthew and his partner made a big leap from Ohio to Tennessee in 2021 and is excited to be dancing in Nashville with di Mossa and Nashville Dance Collective as well as continuing to choreograph, dance, and teach through many freelance projects and opportunities in Middle Tennessee and beyond.
Resident Artist | Kate Fleming
Kate Fleming started her training Huntsville Ballet Company and then in 2020 graduate from Troy University with a B.F.A. in Dance. Her first piece, Silence, was performed in Troy University’s production Art in Motion, the Contemporary Dance Choreography Festival in Orlando Florida, at the Alabama Dance Festival in Birmingham Alabama, and at Unified Rhythms in Jacksonville Fl. In July 2019 she worked with the United Ballet Theater as an Executive Assistant intern and accepted the position of Assistant Director with Art in Flight, INC. based out of Jacksonville Florida. In the fall of 2019, she participated in the LimónPro college program with the Limón Modern Dance Company in New York City. In the Fall of 2020, she traveled with Art in Flight, INC. to Orlando, Fl to co-choreograph a new work on United Ballet Theatre with James Boyd titled Quintessence. She choreographed more works that have premiered at BalletFest in Atlanta, Georgia, and Catharsis II & III in Orlando, Florida. In 2021 she joined X-Contemporary Dance located in Nashville, Tn and began teaching dance classes at DancEast. While dancing with X-Contemporary Dance she was quickly promoted to assistant artistic director. Upon finishing her first season with X-Contemporary Dance she partnered with other Nashville dancers to form Nashville Dance Collective. Kate assumed the role of Artistic Director and choreographed NDC’s first dance concert, Duat. In the summer of 2022, she was a guest artist in Hello Again presented by Di Mossa and Uprooted presented by Hum Dance Collective. In 2023 Kate received a full ride to the University of Alabama to receive her M.F.A, while attending school she will remain a resident artist with Nashville Dance Collective.
Molly began formal dance training in her hometown of Jefferson City, Missouri at the age of 4. She has been trained in classical ballet technique, pointe, contemporary, modern, jazz, and hiphop. In 2017, she graduated Summa Cum Laude from Missouri State University with a Bachelor of Science in Dance and a Bachelor of Social Work. Upon graduation, Molly accepted a position as a company dancer with the Dancing Wheels Company and School in Cleveland, Ohio. During her four seasons with the company, she enjoyed both national and international touring and performing works by choreographers such as Marc Brew, David Dorfman, Catherine Meredith, Dianne McIntyre, James Morrow, David Rousseve, and Mark Tomasic. Beyond her work at Dancing Wheels, Molly also danced and choreographed as a freelance artist with Levity Dance and Physical Theatre and The Cleveland Dance Project, performed a guest appearance at the Dysautonomia Support Network Patient Choice Awards Ceremony in Washington, D.C., and has been a company member with MorrisonDance since the beginning of 2020. Outside of performing, Molly is also an active dance educator, having taught at several studios in Missouri and the Greater Cleveland region. Molly also earned her Teacher Certification in Physically Integrated Dance and was a regular teacher for Dancing Wheels’ company ballet class and within the company’s school and outreach programming for individuals with and without disabilities. Since moving to Nashville, Tennessee in 2021, Molly has enjoyed performing with Satellite Dance, X-Contemporary Dance, and Art in Flight, dancing as a company member with di Mossa, and continuing to share her love of dance to people of all abilities as a teacher at MOVE Inclusive Dance! In addition to her dance career, Molly also graduated with a Master of Social Work from Cleveland State University in 2021 with a focus on working with people with disabilities and nonprofit management and is currently employed as a social worker at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
Resident Artist | Molly Haslag
A Nashville native who started dancing at the age of 6. She has been trained in classical ballet technique, pointe, modern, contemporary, jazz, and hip hop. When she was 12, she studied at the Dance Theatre of Tennessee, which gave her exposure to the professional ballet and contemporary community. From there, she went on to perform with a ballet company for 4 years while attending University. Layne graduated in May 2018 from MTSU with a Bachelor's degree in German and Entertainment Technology. Then she moved on to join X-Contemporary Dance as a company artist in 2019. Performance opportunities have included roles in Cinderella, Hansel & Gretel, Quietness, and Insectum along with soloist roles in ‘Sleeping Beauty’ as the ‘Song Fairy', 'Cinderella', and a contemporary ‘Swan Lake’ as ‘Odile’. Now, she teaches aerial dance classes as well as freelances around Nashville doing various projects and music videos.
Resident Artist | Layne Porter
Delaine is a professional dancer, choreographer, teaching artist, and actress whose work spans across live performance and film. Her style fuses the elegance and grace of classical techniques with the innovation and storytelling of contemporary forms to create poetry in motion. She is a graduate of The Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater’s certificate program. She also studied with The Joffrey Ballet School and Nashville School for the Arts. She has toured with The Alvin Ailey Repertory Group, danced for Louis Vuitton during NYC fashion week, performed with Void the Movement Project, and many others.... She is currently performing with Nashville Dance Collective and Project Awake. She has also appeared in many music videos for major artists and in Dance Spirit, Dance Teacher, and Vice magazines.

Resident Artist | Taylor Randolph
A dance artist born and raised in Huntsville, Alabama. Randolph graduated Summa Cum Laude from Troy University with a BFA in Dance and a Minor in Public Relations, in May of 2020. As a student of the Department of Dance, she was a company member of Troy Repertory Dance Ensemble, a group of dancers chosen by audition to represent the BFA in Dance program. While at Troy University, Randolph was chosen to participate in various master classes and workshops, including a ballet masterclass from Edward Villela and a week-long choreographic workshop with Thang Dao. Too, she was chosen to perform works by Takehiro Ueyama, José Limón set by Dante Puleio, James Boyd, Nicki Loud, Lisa Bauford, Caitlin Parish and London Brison. Seeking further dance education, Randolph attended the American Dance Festival in 2018, where she trained under Ramón Flowers (ballet), Christian Von Howard (contemporary) and Charles A. Anderson (kinetic storytelling). While at ADF, she took masterclasses from Paul Taylor Dance Company, Pilobolus and Rosie Herrera Dance Theatre. In 2019, Randolph accepted two highly competitive internships in New York City, New York, including the José Limón Dance Foundation as the Education Intern and RIOULT Dance NY as the Development Intern. Randolph's most recent training came from Orange Grove Dance in their 2020 summer intensive that focused heavily on technique and repertory from the company, as well as multi-media elements, including film, sound design and lighting design. Randolph currently operates as a guest teacher and guest choreographer to studios around the Southeast. Her original work has been accepted into various national choreographic festivals, including Body Logic Dance Festival, Catharsis Series II, CDC Fest, IWD Showcase, New Century Dance Project, New Wave Dance Festival and New Works Dance Concert. She continues to see her original choreography present at choreographic festivals, including the premiere of her newest work at the DAP festival in Pietrasanta Italy. Randolph is excited to perform her first work with Nashville Dance Collective.
